2016 Annual Meeting

ECI would like to thank Jason Trumbauer for his 9 years/3 terms of service to the Board of Directors.  Jason has chosen not to run this year for re-election in order to devote more time to his family and farming.  He has been a valued asset to the Board and we wish him well.

Following the voting process during the Annual meeting held on November 29, 2016 at the Gilbertville American Legion, the announcement of the election is as follows:

Jim Fitkin will replace Jason Trumbauer.  We thank Jim for his willingness to be active on the board again, as Jim was once an associate board member with the Coop of Hudson.   Jim is a 4th generation farmer just north of Cedar Falls, and has made his living farming for 37 years, milked for 25 years, raised hogs several years and now farms mainly corn and soybeans.  You may recognize the name Fitkin due to his growing, processing and marketing of 40 acres of Fitkin popcorn each year.

Incumbents re-elected are Dennis Rottinghaus and Ben Bader.  Dennis Rottinghaus has been a board member since 2007 and Ben Bader started as an associate in 2010 and in 2013 became a full board member.  We thank Ben and Dennis for their continued service to the board.

Scouts’ Troop 95 receives $5,000 from ECIC and Land O’Lakes
East Central Iowa Cooperative and Land O’Lakes, Inc. are committed to our communities where our members, employees and facilities are located.
Through the Land O’Lakes Foundation, with support of the East Central Iowa Board of Directors and management, both cooperatives are pleased to contribute $2,500 each to Boy Scouts of America Winnebago Council for Jesup Boy Scout Troop 95.

The Jesup community is very fortunate to have a strong and vibrant Boy Scout program active in their community. We are very pleased to be supporters of this fine organization and send our best wishes for the overall continued success of Troop 95 and the specific use of these funds to assist in defraying cost for Boy Scouts to attend the “Live Scouting’s Adventure” National Jamboree which will be held in July 2017 in Mount Hope, West Virginia.

Congratulations to the Troop leaders and Scouts of Troop 95 as you continue the quest to become “Prepared For Life.”
