ECI is proud to announce that the two$ 750 scholarships have been awarded to upstanding 2017 graduating seniors.  These students have shown great interest in continuing their education in the ag field.  The selection committee from the Board of Directors reviewed the applications submitted and Will Isley and Maria Geisler have met the qualifications to receive the 2017 scholarship awards.

Will Isley is the son of Gaylen and Christina Isley and will be graduating from Cedar Falls High School.  He has been active on his family farm all his life, and been actively involved in Boy Scouts earning the Eagle Scout award.  Will plans to attend Iowa State University and study in the agricultural field.

Maria Geisler is the daughter of Mike and Jeanette Geisler and will be graduating from Hudson High

School. Maria plans to attend Iowa State Veterinary College.  Maria has been involved in 4H and FFA, being president in both, and competing at National FFA in Indianapolis for Marketing Plan. The last 2 years she has been Black Hawk County Beef Queen.   Maria has also been job shadowing at a large animal vet clinic, worked at the local mixed practice veterinary as well as TransOva-a cattle reproduction company.  Maria has been very active in extra activities through school, and maintains a 4 GPA.

ECI wishes both Maria and Will great success in their future education endeavors.  We are excited about our youth continuing on in the ag programs and keeping farming a priority in their lives.
